Varsity Head Coach
Coach Bubba Lemon is in his 2nd year as the head coach. Bubba is an alumni of Tualatin High School where he played Football, Basketball, and Baseball. He then went on to play College Football, Basketball and Track at Linfield then transferred to finish his college career at Willamette University playing Football and Basketball. He coached at the collegiate level for 9 years. In his first year as a head coach, Tualatin ended the year 24-5 and won the State Championship. Bubba was named OACA Coach of the year and OBCA Coach of the year in 2023.
THOMAS DUGGAN
Varsity Asst Head Coach
Coach Duggan has coached at Tualatin High School since the school opened in the 1992-1993 school year. He was hired by original Head Coach Rick Osborn and has coached at all levels before becoming the Varsity Assistant for Coach Todd Jukkala and now Coach Bubba Lemon. He teaches Science at Tualatin High.
RYAN ALLEN
Varsity Asst Head Coach
Coach Allen enters his second season as an assistant for the Varsity team. Coach Allen played high school basketball for West Salem High School. While basketball has always been his passion, coach Allen found success playing football in college (Louisiana Tech), which led to an 8 year career in the NFL. He has learned how to perform under immense pressure, and hopes to help our athletes strengthen their mindset and approach to competition. “Competing at the highest level is 90% mental, and 10% physical. My goal is to help these student athletes handle themselves through adversity, on and off the court.”
WADE MOYER
JV Head Coach
Coach Moyer is the head JV basketball coach at Tualatin High School. He is going into his 8th year of coaching basketball and this is also his 5th year of teaching at Tualatin High School. He started coaching at Sunset High School, where he was the JV2 basketball coach, then the freshman coach, and finished as a varsity assistant in his final year with the program. He coached with the Tualatin girls basketball program for two years and he is now going into his 3rd year of coaching with the Tualatin boys basketball program. Coach Moyer played basketball and graduated from Sunset High School. He also played college basketball at Highline Community College. “It is an honor to be a part of such a great basketball program. Go Wolves!”
TIM BLACK
JV Asst Head Coach
Coach Black, a Richmond, Virginia native, is a basketball luminary whose journey has left an indelible mark on the sport. His education at Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina laid the foundation for an exceptional career. Tim not only earned the title of First Team All-American but also etched his name in the annals of the college's history as the second-highest scorer, amassing an impressive 1,836 points. In 2007, he was honored as one of the top 10 players from the CVAC era, securing his place on the All-Time Men's Basketball Team. His excellence on the court extended internationally, with a twelve-year career in Germany, Belgium, and Italy, endearing him to fans and fellow athletes alike. Off the court, Tim is a devoted family man, husband, and father of five. His story is a testament to perseverance, dedication, and an unmatched passion for the game. Since retiring from professional play, Tim transitioned into coaching in Portland, Oregon, where he imparts his extensive knowledge and rich playing experience to shape the next generation of basketball enthusiasts. His mentorship underscores the positive impact it can have on aspiring athletes, both on and off the court.
MATT UNIS
JV2 Head Coach
Coach Unis played basketball at Oregon City HS for Clif Wegner. He has been teaching and coaching since 1998 at David Douglas, Clackamas and Tualatin High Schools. Matt has coached boys and girls basketball at various times in his career and this will be 10th season of coaching hoops.
BRYAN HOLLAND
JV2 Asst Coach
Coach Holland has dedicated more than 30 years to Tualatin's youth and high school basketball programs. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, he is beginning his 24th year as the Varsity team's official scorer. Beyond the game, his genuine passion lies in helping shape the character, discipline, and personal self-awareness of the young men he is privileged to guide and mentor.
NATHAN PLATTER
Freshmen Head Coach
Coach Platter, with 2 years of coaching experience, eagerly begins his second year as the Head Boys Freshman Basketball coach at Tualatin High School. His coaching journey commenced in 2021 as the Freshman Assistant Coach following his graduation from Oregon State University. A proud Tualatin Alumni, Coach Platter was a member of the basketball program from 2014 to 2018. Transitioning from the court to the classroom, he completed his student teaching at Tualatin High School before assuming the role of a math teacher at Beaverton Academy of Science and Engineering. Coach Platter's deep connection to Tualatin underscores his commitment to nurturing young athletes on and off the basketball court.

BRENT JOHNSON
Freshman Asst Head Coach
Coach Johnson is an assistant coach for the Tualatin High School boy’s freshman basketball team. He is new to coaching, but not to Oregon basketball. Brent played for South Medford High School from 2002-2006. During that time, he played on the Varsity team for 3 years, helping lead the squad to three conference championships and three appearances at the State Tournament. During his senior year, Brent received tournament honors while helping propel his team to the championship game again Lake Oswego.
Brent also played four seasons for Danny Miles at Oregon Tech. He was a part of the 2008 National Championship team, which was recently inducted in the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame. Brent both attended the NAIA National Tournament and won conference championships each of those years. And he received conference honors his senior year and was a two time Academic All American for the Men’s Team.
Brent works as a Senior Environmental Health Specialist for Clackamas County and is a small business owner. He is excited to join the coaching staff at Tualatin High School.
Our home gym is in beautiful Tualatin, Oregon.
Our players aren't just members of a team, they are members of our community and represent Tualatin on and off the court.
